Warning: This review contains spoilers

This book has a different POV of one of the 3 characters every chapter - I absolutely love that addition to this book it helps to enhance the character development as the story progresses. The development of Theo's character from a coward who was fearful of everything to fighting a giant to save the girl he loved was awe inspiring. The way that Nifty's character was always happy go lucky and would do anything for his friends including stealing made me love his character that much more. The way that Ash was finding herself and learning how to use magic after being a servant for her whole life was inspirational. I could go on and on about how much I love each one of the main characters that is presented in the book, but I will save from spoiling too much. I highly recommend reading this book if you love Fantasy, I can't wait for the next book to be released.

Thank you so much to the author for sending me a review copy it was a fantastic read!

** spoiler alert ** "Spoiler Alert - This Review Contains Spoilers"

This book is magnificent. the details, the character development, the emotions, the imagination, everything about this book is what reading is all about. Kvothe is ambitious, lucrative, creative, and intelligent - the author did an amazing job of creating the main character and describing him and his personality in tantalizing details.

It starts out following Kvothe as a young boy with his parents in the Edema Ruh Thrope, this part of the story gives you historical information into who Kvothe was starting to become. He was a carefree spirit who enjoyed knowing and learning everything, but most of all he loved being part of the Thrope. As time progresses Kvothe finds himself in the woods defending for himself - this part was sad to read. He was all alone in the wilderness all he had was an instrument that he learned how to play perfectly and every time a string would break, he would learn how to play it with that number of strings. Eventually Kvothe started to attend the university where he developed a rival, broke rules, met a girl with a secret hiding place, made friends, and found a special girl he couldn't let go of. As his life progresses you see more of Kvothe's personality shine while also realizing not everything is as it seems.

I honestly can't recommend this book enough this is one of the best books I have ever read, it's hard to put into words how fantastic this book truly is. I am ecstatic for the 3rd book to be released!
